Two in hospital after Trawsfynydd crash

Two people are in hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Trawsfynydd over the weekend.

The A470 was closed at the A4212 turn-off for several hours on Sunday evening (5th August) following the collision at around 5.05pm. It involved a black Grand Cherokee Jeep and a silver Peugeot Partner panel van.

Police say a man and a woman travelling in the jeep were both airlifted to hospital – but their condition is unknown. It’s understood they were taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage of what happened to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference no. W110156.
