Twelve people have been arrested in the latest wave of drugs raids in North Wales.
Detectives searched a property at a undisclosed location on Anglesey on Wednesday morning (26th February)
Ten raids were carried out in and around Wrexham while another took place on Merseyside. A ‘significant’ haul of class A drugs, high value vehicles and cash were seized.
Nine men and three women are being questioned at Llay Police Station and further searches are continuing.
Inspector Mark Hughes said: ”This is yet another example of the successful work that is being undertaken to manage all types of investigations into serious and organised criminality – including drug supply.”
”We will continue to relentlessly pursue any organised and criminal groups that operate in the Wrexham area. Today’s events should serve as a warning to others who are involved in such activity.”
”We want to reassure people that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants, our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area.”
