Six arrested after child abducted at knifepoint

Six people are being questioned after a child was abducted at knifepoint on Anglesey.

It happened at an undisclosed location on the island at around 4pm on Wednesday afternoon (6th November).

The child was found unharmed later that evening when a car was stopped in Northamptonshire. They were recovered safely.

North Wales Police said it was an isolated incident and not a stranger attack. The suspects are still in custody and there are no further details.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Evans added: ”This has been a frightening incident for those involved. Our focus throughout has been to recover the child safe and well and I am happy to report that this was achieved.”

”I would like to thank our colleagues in Northamptonshire for their swift assistance.”
