Four people have been questioned following two drugs raids in north Gwynedd.
Two men were arrested in Bangor on Wednesday (27th March) on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs as part of a so-called County Lines operation.
Detectives questioned a 48 year-old man from Merseyside and a 32 year-old man from Blaenau Ffestiniog following a tip-off from the public. Class A drugs and cash were also seized.
‘County Lines’ is used to describe organised crime gangs and networks from major cities who bring drugs into rural and coastal parts of the country via dedicated dealers.
Police say the gangs exploit vulnerable adults and children to keep the drugs locally and move drugs and money inbetween urban and rural areas, such as market towns.
In another raid in Caernarfon, a man and a woman from the town were arrested after a large haul of class A drugs and cash were seized in the Glan Peris area.
All four suspects have been released on bail, but remain under investigation pending further inquiries.
