Police have condemned ‘foolish behaviour’ after a child’s bicycle was thrown onto the railway line at Valley.
A train was approaching the village on Thursday evening when the bike was thrown onto level crossing.
British Transport Police said the Network Rail signaller noticed and no damage was caused to the train or the bike, which was recovered.
They added: ”We see a lot of foolish behaviour in our job – but this was especially idiotic. If your child has lost their bike in Valley…get in touch with us, and we will check if it matches the bike we have recovered.”
