Two people have escaped unharmed after a yacht ran aground between the two bridges on the Menai Strait.
The RNLI lifeboat crew from Beaumaris were called out to the 36ft vessel inbetween the Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge at just before 7.45pm on Friday evening.
The yacht was refloated before being escorted by the relief lifeboat to Menai Bridge to check the hull, which was not damaged in the incident.
Earlier that evening, a man in his 40s suffered head and chest injuries after falling 30ft from a cliff near Porth-y-Post, just north of Trearddur Bay. He’s recovering at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor after he was airlifted from the scene.
