Two people have been seriously injured after a crash in Penisarwaun, near Llanrug.
Emergency services were called out to a two vehicle collision on the A4244 near the Jesse James Bunkhouse at just after 6.35pm on Monday evening (9th December).
A woman driving a silver Nissan Almera and a man driving a Kia Niro were both airlifted to a specialist trauma unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours after the crash.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said the Coastguard search and rescue helicopter attended the scene along with paramedics in two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle. Two fire crews from Menai Bridge and Llanberis were also called out.
Sergeant Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: ”We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to the collision to come forward.”
”In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who saw the manner of driving of the Nissan Almera that was travelling from the direction of the A4086 at Cwm Y Glo.”
