Two people questioned after hotel knife attack

Two people are being questioned following a knife attack in Llandudno.

A 39 year-old man from Bangor suffered cuts to his face during the assault outside the Links Hotel on Conwy Road on Thursday evening (23rd January)

Police were called out at around 8.20pm after the man walked over to a nearby McDonald’s restaurant to get help. He is now recovering hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man and a woman have since been arrested on suspicion of wounding.

Detective Inspector Elfyn Hughes said: ”We are treating this as an isolated incident and we would like to reassure the public that we have no concerns for the wider community.”

”Our investigations into this incident continue, and I would appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything in the area between approximately 7.50pm and 8.15pm to speak to us direct via 101, or by using the webchat facility quoting incident number Y010548, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
