Two men have been arrested and bailed after Class A drugs were seized in a raid in Llangefni.
Cash and mobile phones were also found in a search on an undisclosed address in the town on Wednesday. A teenage boy from Merseyside was released on bail while a 47 year-old local man remains under investigation on suspicion of being involved in supplying the drugs and money laundering.
Local Sergeant Dylan Roberts said the raid was part of the ongoing crackdown into cross-border drug dealing between North West England and North West Wales: ”Members of our communities are aware of the ongoing ‘County Lines’ problems with teenagers from Liverpool and Manchester being sent by organised gangs to deal drugs in the area.”
”North Wales Police will not tolerate drug dealing or the exploitation of vulnerable individuals in our communities and we encourage anyone with any information to come forward and assist us to protect those in the community who are less able to protect themselves.”
