Three men from Greater Manchester are being questioned following a spate of scrap metal thefts across Anglesey.
Two men from Manchester and a third from a Stockport were arrested in Gaerwen on Friday (14th February) on suspicion of stealing lead flashing and high value cabling in a number of locations in the past few weeks.
Detectives also seized their vehicle – a Land Rover Discovery – at the scene of the arrests.
Last week, the warnings prompted a police warning for business owners and owners of unoccupied buildings on the island to be vigilant.
District Inspector Llinos Davies said: ”We would urge the public to ensure that any buildings left unoccupied are made as secure as possible.”
