Teenager arrested after Holyhead burglary

A teenage boy has been questioned after a burglary at a store in Holyhead.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of a second suspect wanted following a break-in at Ponthwfa Stores on South Stack Road in the early hours of last Tuesday (5th February).

Two boys smashed a window to gain entry into the shop and made off with cigarettes.

The following day, a 16 year-old local boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft – he’s been released on bail but remains under investigation. Officers have also carried out house to house inquiries in the area.

PC Marcia Hughes from Holyhead police station said: ”We’ve released CCTV images of a male we’d like to speak to in connection with the incident. Anybody who may recognise him or who may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact us immediately.”
