A student has been found dead at Bangor University.
Emergency services were called out to a halls of residence at just after 10pm on Sunday night (26th October).
The 26 year-old man has pronounced dead at the scene, despite efforts by friends and paramedics.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner for North West Wales, Dewi Pritchard Jones, has been informed.
A spokesperson added: ”Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends following this tragic death of a young student, and we request that their privacy is respected.”
Bangor University said it was offering additional support to other students in halls and those at the university who knew the student.
They added: ”Our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends at this very sad time.”
“Student wellbeing is a university priority and we are offering support to others in halls and at the university who knew the student.”
