Six remanded after Gaerwen child kidnapping

Six people have appeared in court charged with kidnapping a young child in Gaerwen.

Llandudno magistrates heard the child was abducted last Wednesday afternoon (4th November).

Several hours later, they were found unharmed when a vehicle was stopped on the M1 at Watford Gap services in Northamptonshire.

The three men and three women accused are:

  • Dr Anke Hill (51), of Llanfaethlu, nr Holyhead
  • Jane Going-Hill (59) and her partner Robert Frith (65), both of Holyhead
  • Edward Stevenson (68) and his wife Janet (66) of Crawley, West Sussex
  • Wilfred Wong (55) of Camden, North London, who is also accused of possessing a knife

The court heard Going-Hill and Dr Hill would plead guilty to the charges.

All six defendants were remanded in custody until Monday 7th December, when they’ll appear before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court.
