Six people are in hospital after a two car crash near Criccieth.
A woman was left seriously injured following the collision between a blue Vauxhall Vectra and a white Mercedes on the A497 in Llanystumdwy at just after 9.50am on Friday morning. Police say she was a passenger in the Vectra and was airlifted to a specialist trauma unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Two children and a man, who was driving the Vectra, were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd with minor injuries. The male driver and passenger in the Mercedes were also taken to the Bangor hospital – they are also reported to have minor injuries.
The road was closed for several hours while forensic experts examined the scene of the crash. Sergeant Emlyn Hughes from the Roads Policing Unit: ”We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen either vehicle being driven prior to the collision to contact us.”
