Police hunt for arsonists after cricket club fire

Detectives are looking for arsonists who started a fire at a cricket club in Caernarfon last month.

Police say a ‘considerable amount of damage was caused after the cricket mat was set alight at the Aber Foreshore Road ground at around 7.30pm on Thursday 19th March.

PC Laurin Mckie at Caernarfon police station said they were keen to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity to come forward.

She added: ”Our aim of reducing crime and rigorously investigating those that take place will continue, however, it must be stressed that we need assistance from our local communities to reduce incidents of this nature and identify those responsible.”

”We ask that people remain vigilant at all times, always ensure your property is locked and secured and if you see any suspicious behaviour contact police immediately.”
