An elderly woman is seriously ill in hospital after she was hit by a car in Llanbedr.
The 89 year-old woman was being pushed in a wheelchair along the A496 when she was involved in the collision with a silver Mitsubishi Outlander SUV outside the Hafan Artro Hotel at just after 11.30am on Wednesday morning (26th June).
The woman was airlifted to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with serious, life changing injuries.
Police say the car involved in the crash was travelling towards the Barmouth area. The road was closed for around five hours.
Sergeant Nicola Grimes-Williams from the Western Roads Policing Unit said: ”I am urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who may have been travelling along the A496 and who has dash cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.”
