A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was hit by a car in Garndolbenmaen.
The A487 was closed for over five hours after the collision involving a blue Mini Cooper near the Mahida Indian restaurant on Porthmadog Road at around 9.40pm on Monday night (17th September).
The man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor – but he was later transferred to the specialist trauma unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a bus which stopped outside the restaurant, followed by a man seen crossing the road.
Sergeant Meurig Jones from the Western Roads Policing Unit said the road remained closed while an investigation into the collision began – it was reopened at just after 2am.
