A man has been questioned by detectives after a large haul of cannabis was found on a Menai Bridge estate.
Two raids were carried out by detectives on the Tyddyn Mostyn estate on Thursday (27th September).
The suspect was arrested and later released on bail while enquiries continue. A smaller haul of controlled drugs were also seized in the raids.
Sergeant Chris Burrow said the raids were part of the ongoing Operation Scorpion aimed at cracking down on serious and organised crime: ”We want to reassure the people of Anglesey that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area.”
”These types of warrants would not be possible without the support and assistance of the local communities. I appeal to anyone with information linked to drugs supply of any kind to make contact with us. We will always treat any information in the upmost confidence.”
