Huws Gray Alliance
Ruthin Town 1-2 Bangor City
(Bangor: Sam Barnes 1’/7′)

It’s two from two for City under Craig Harrison, who could and should have done more to wrap up the points beyond Barnes’ early brace.

But both Les Davies and Carl Darlington saw efforts disallowed for offside – and the frustration grew as poor play allowed Llyr Morris to respond for the hosts with ten minutes left. Yalany Beio was sent off in the 89th minute for his second yellow card.

But otherwise, Bangor passed their first test on the road, thanks in no small measure to the impressive Barnes, who scored both goals from long throw-ins by Jake Phillips.
