LISTEN AGAIN: Wylfa Newydd – Horzion on the road

This weekend, the energy firm behind the plans for Wylfa Newydd has gone on tour across Anglesey and the North West.

A community bus team is visiting towns and villages around the region to talk to encourage the public to consider how to take advantage of the benefits of the £12 billion project.

Horizon says its hopes to attract local people to share their own thoughts about Wylfa B as part of a promotional campaign in the New Year based on personal stories.

Gwen Parry-Jones, executive director at Horizon, said: ”We want to connect with communities and businesses across Anglesey and North Wales, so we can let them know about the benefits and opportunities that the project will bring.”

”Alongside these opportunities, we know that Wylfa Newydd will create thousands of new jobs, both in construction, ongoing operations and throughout the wider supply chain, making a huge impact across the region.”

”The first step is to talk to people about how they are thinking about getting ready for the project, so we can use their stories to inspire others about the next exciting chapter in Anglesey’s future. We’re looking forward to hearing from them.”
