Ryan McKean has been named Amlwch Town’s new manager.
The goalkeeper takes over from Andrew Wright, who stepped down less than a fortnight ago after five years in charge of the Welsh Alliance club.
McKean has already built up a refreshed backroom team at Lôn Bach as he prepares for his first stint in management – including Sam Carter, Adrian Jones, Ben Jones and Alan Carter.
Amlwch kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 2-2 draw at Bodedern Athletic in last Friday night’s Wayne Rowlands Memorial at Cae Ty Cristion. The league season begins in earnest on Saturday 11th August, when they travel to Pwllheli in Division Two.
McKean said: ”I’m delighted to be given this opportunity and really up for the challenge. Pre-season is already underway so I’ll be busy over the next month as we look to strengthen the squad. Our first match of the season…will be a tough one, but I’ll be giving it everything to make sure that the lads are ready.”
