A man has been arrested after armed police were deployed to a house in Holyhead.
Officers were called out to an address in Thomas Street on Sunday evening (24th May) following a serious allegation.
Police have given no further details about what happened, but say there is no ongoing risk to the public.
Crime scene investigators remained at the scene and the road was reopened after the suspect was detained and led away from the house without incident.
Chief Inspector Jon Bowcott said: ”I understand that the deployment of armed officers can both create interest and cause concern.”
”I would like to reassure the residents of Holyhead that there is no ongoing risk to the public…it would be inappropriate to make any further comment at any time as investigations are ongoing.”
