Britain’s Got Talent star Gruffydd Wyn will headline a charity concert next month to raise money for Anglesey’s first hospice.
Y Brodyr Magee, Côr Glanaethwy and Band Biwmares will also appear at the fundraising event in aid of the new St David’s Hospice inpatient unit, currently being built at Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley in Holyhead. The four-bedroom satellite facility is due to open later this year.
Ynys Môn AM Rhun ap Iorwerth will compere the concert, being held at Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni on Friday 5th April at 7pm.
It’s been organised by the chair of Anglesey Council, Councillor Dylan Rees: ”I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to arrange such a wide range of exceptional local talent to take part. I’m especially grateful to Gruffydd Wyn who has made time in his busy schedule to join us.”
”The evening will be a celebration of music from our talented local performers and I hope to welcome as many as possible to join me in a night of musical entertainment.”
St David’s Hospice CEO Trystan Pritchard added: ”I am delighted that this celebratory concert is taking place to raise significant funds towards St David’s Anglesey Hospice and are extremely grateful to…(the) chairman of Anglesey Council for the huge amount of support he has shown by organising this event.”
Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s. To book, visit the St David’s Hospice website.
