Four people rescued from Caernarfon flat fire

Four people have been rescued from a fire at a block of flats in Caernarfon.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze involving four flats at the front of Plas Twthill late on Tuesday night (14th January).

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said three crews from Caernarfon and Llanberis were called out to the building on Mountain Street at around 11.35pm. The fire was extinguished around half an hour later.

Police said no one was seriously injured and residents at the flats were being supported.

One person was treated at the scene by paramedics but nobody was taken to hospital. Those who were rescued from the fire are being rehoused elsewhere.

A joint investigation into the fire is continuing.
