Five arrests after taser stolen in police assault

Five men have been arrested after a Taser was stolen from a police officer attacked in Bangor.

The plain clothes officer was assaulted on the High Street at around 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon (4th July) but was not seriously hurt.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said it was an isolated incident and the assault was the result of police activity.

Detectives are continuing their search for their taser but have warned the public not to handle the device if it’s found – and to contact 999 immediately, quoting reference no. X093333.
