Fairbourne murder suspect remanded in custody

A pensioner accused of killing a woman in south Gwynedd has been remanded in custody.

Thomas Bryan (75) is charged with the murder of Vivienne Bryan after she was found with a serious injuries at a house in Fairbourne on Christmas Day.

The 74 year-old was pronounced dead by paramedics at the bungalow on Francis Avenue.

During a brief hearing at Llandudno magistrates court on Monday morning, Mr Bryan confirmed his name, date of birth and address.

When asked if he understood the charges against him, he told the court: ”I didn’t murder her.”

No formal plea was entered and Mr Bryan was remanded until New Year’s Eve, when he will appear before a judge at Mold Crown Court.
