Bangor police warning against suspicious woman

Bangor residents have been warned to be on their guard against a suspicious woman asking for money.

Police in the city say the woman has been knocking on doors at homes in the Coed-y-Castell and Penrhosgarnedd areas in recent days, asking for cash or a petrol can while claiming her car has broken down.

Sergeant Dana Baxter from Bangor police station said: ”Enquiries are ongoing to trace her however we are advising people not to give her money and to phone us if they witness suspicious behaviour. Never let anybody into your home unless you are completely satisfied as to their identity and their reason for being there.”

Anyone who witnesses any suspicious behaviour should call Bangor police station on 101.
