An investigation is continuing into how a fire started at a holiday home on the Llyn Peninsula.
Emergency services were called out to an isolated and remote house in Mynytho near Llanbedrog at just after 6am on Tuesday morning.
The fire was quickly brought under control but it took nearly nine hours to extinguish. The house, which was unoccupied at the time, suffered extensive damage. North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are working with North Wales Police to establish the cause of the blaze.
District Inspector Gethin Jones from Pwllheli police station said: ”Clearly this will be completed as soon as possible to alleviate any understandable concerns in the community. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who saw any suspicious persons or activity, or indeed knows anything about this fire to contact police immediately.”
