Four people are being questioned by detectives following a drugs raid near Benllech.
A man and a woman from the area were arrested along with two Merseyside teenagers in the latest ‘Operation Rattle’ search on Thursday, as part of a high-profile crackdown across Anglesey and Gwynedd.
Police said a significant amount of illegal class A and class B drugs were seized in the raid on an undisclosed address along with paraphernalia.
On Tuesday, another man was arrested during a raid at the Treseifion estate in Holyhead.
Nine men were held during a pro-active weekend operation earlier this month while two women and a man were questioned and released on bail after three raids in Bangor last Friday.
Llangefni-based Sergeant Sara Evans, who oversaw two raids on Anglesey this week, said: ”Our commitment in keeping our communities safe remains a priority and today’s action under Operation Rattle is a continuation of that process. It is also aimed at those bringing drugs into our communities from outside north Wales and in line with the forces’ Operation Scorpion’ is directly targeting serious and organised crime. We are determined to keep our communities safe and will continue to provide a visible reassurance and presence. It is vitally important we listen to concerns from our local communities and where necessary take proportionate and positive action.”
