The driver of a car which failed to stop after two collisions on the Llyn Peninsula has been arrested.
A cyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a dark blue C200 Mercedes on the A499 near Trefor at around 4.05pm on Tuesday afternoon. The cyclist was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor but their injuries are not life threatening.
A short time later, the Mercedes collided with a Vauxhall Zafira on the outskirts of Pwllheli – the Zafira driver sustained only a minor injury. Police tracked down the Mercedes driver elsewhere in the town.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the two collisions or who may have seen the Mercedes driving on the A499 from Caernarfon to Pwllheli to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference no. W067079.
They’re also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the Mercedes to come forward.
