Beaumaris Town Council is set to face its ninth by-election in less than a year.
Potential candidates are being asked to step forward to contest a seat on the Central ward, following the resignation of independent councillor Ian Davies last month.
Nominations close on Friday 6th July – if the by-election goes ahead, the poll will be held on Thursday 2nd August.
Eight by-elections took place in March after councillors resigned en-masse amid a row over allegations surrounding health and safety breaches and the town clerk.
All eight rebel councillors stood again for their former seats under the ‘Beaumaris First’ banner – but only two regained their place on the council. The former mayor and mayoress of the town, Frank and Jean Carr, were among those who lost out.
