Caernarfon stabbing victim released from hospital

A man stabbed at a block of flats in Caernarfon has been released from hospital.

The 35 year-old man underwent emergency surgery after he was attacked at Llys Buddug in the Pendalar area last Sunday night (29th December).

A 33 year-old man questioned on suspicion of attempted murder is currently on conditional bail, but enquiries are continuing.

Detectives say they have now traced one of the two local men who they believed was a potential key witness to the stabbing – 29 year-old Mark Griffiths from Caernarfon, also known as Mark Fango.

But they’ve issued a further appeal for the second man, 34 year-old Craig Oulton – known locally as Craig Batman – to come forward.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: ”We would be grateful if he would come forward voluntarily as we believe he may have information which could be crucial to the investigation.”

At the moment, they’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, which occurred at around 9.35pm on Sunday.

Forensic officers have spent the past week examining the scene of the attack while detectives have been working from an incident room at Caernarfon police station.

Anyone with information should contact Caernarfon CID on 101, quoting reference no. 19100760630.
