Blaenau Ffestiniog drugs raid: two men arrested

Two men are being questioned after a drugs raid in Blaenau Ffestiniog – the third in the town so far this month.

The men from Merseyside were arrested on Thursday morning (30th May) on suspicion of being involved in drug dealing and cultivating cannabis.

Armed police officers and the North Wales Police dog unit were also involved in the warrant led by local detectives.

Earlier this month, four men were arrested in two raids at undisclosed addresses in the town – Class A and Class B drugs were seized along with cash.

One of the properties was later closed by police following a court order.

District Inspector Matt Geddes said: ”We will continue to target those individuals intent on harming our communities through their criminal enterprise, whether related to drugs, acquisitive crime, or any other criminality.”

”I want to thank the local community for their continued support and sharing of information, helping us to take the action seen today.”
