Major resurfacing work is getting underway on the A55 on Anglesey.
For the next three or four weeks, both the exit and entry slip roads at junction 6 westbound (Nant Turnpike) will be closed. Once work is complete, both slip roads at junction 6 eastbound will be shut for resurfacing over three weeks.
On the eastbound carriageway, there’ll be a 40mph speed limit and a contraflow in operation for six weeks.
The North and Mid Wales Trunk Agency have advised drivers wanting to leave the A55 to continue to the next junctions – either J5 westbound at Treban or J7 eastbound at Cefn Du – then exit and return on the opposite side of the dual carriageway to leave at junction six.
Any one wishing to join the A55 at junction 6 should join the opposite carriageway, then proceed to either J7 eastbound or J5 westbound, exit and return on the westbound or eastbound carriageway.
The agency has apoloigsed for any inconvenience caused by the resurfacing works, which are due to be completed by Thursday 19th July.
