A man has died after he was hit by a lorry on the A55 near Valley.
It happened just after a crash involving a black Vauxhall Corsa near the off-slip at junction 3 westbound at just before 10.50pm on Thursday night (6th August).
Police say the local man managed to get out of his car after the collision, but was then struck by the HGV. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The road remained closed overnight until it reopened at just before 10am on Friday.
Sergeant Raymond Williams from the Roads Policing Unit said: ”We are urging anybody who may have been travelling in the area around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam to contact us.”
”We are particularly keen on speaking to anybody who may have seen the Corsa being driven prior to the initial collision. Our enquiries are underway and anybody who may be able to assist with the investigation should contact us immediately.”
