Part of Bangor’s High Street has been closed off after a big fire at a flat.
Three crews were called out to a property above Noodle One, a Japanese restaurant, at around 2.55am on Tuesday morning (17th December).
Police say the road is shut between the cathedral and the Varsity bar but it’s not known how long the closure will remain in place.
It’s believed there has been severe damage to the roof of the restaurant and a clothing store next door. The fire has been extinguished but work’s continuing to make the scene safe.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Bangor and one from Menai Bridge attended the scene, along with an aerial ladder platform.
No one has been injured and an investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
