Police have warned owners to keep an eye on their caravans following a spate of thefts in south Gwynedd.
Several leisure batteries have been stolen from touring caravans in the area, prompting detectives to remind owners to remove any valuables during the winter, when they’re unoccupied for a lengthy period.
PCSO Gareth Jones at Dolgellau police station said: ”A number of sites have been targeted and we are urging owners to remove valuables and batteries from their caravans and also to leave the battery compartment unlocked to prevent any potential thieves causing damage to the caravans.”
Anyone with information about the thefts should contact PCSO Gareth Jones at Dolgellau police station on 101, quoting reference no. 19100608648, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Alternatively, contact the North Wales Police control room via the live web chat.
