Caernarfon: man’s death treated as ‘unexplained’

Police are treating the death of a man in Caernarfon as unexplained.

The body of a local man was found inside a vehicle at the Aber foreshore at just before 7.35am on Thursday morning (7th November).

Detectives say the man’s next of kin have been informed and a joint investigation with fire chiefs into the circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing.

The road was closed to traffic by police for around four and a half hours.

Inspector Jason Higgins from North Wales Police said: ”We received a report at 7.34am of a casualty with a vehicle.

”Officers attended together with colleagues from NWFRS (North Wales Fire & Rescue Service) and Welsh Ambulance Service. Sadly, a local man died at the scene.”

”The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and we are investigating the circumstances together with NWFRS. The victim’s next of kin have been informed.”
