A second man has been charged in connection with the murder of Gerald Corrigan.
Gavin Jones (36) of Bryngwran is accused of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He is due to appear before magistrates in Caernarfon on Tuesday morning (23rd July).
The retired lecturer died from his injuries in hospital after he was shot with a crossbow outside his home near Holyhead in the early hours of Good Friday.
Another man from Bryngwran has already been charged with murder. Terence Whall (38) is on remand in custody until a plea hearing, due to take place in September.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Kearney, the lead officer for ‘Operation Blue Fulgent’, said on Monday night: ”I continue to appeal to members of our community to come forward and help us with this investigation. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have assisted the enquiry to date.”
Around 40 officers, along with national crime experts, are working on the murder hunt – the biggest on Anglesey since 2001 – from a major incident room at Llangefni police station.
