Holyhead death ‘not suspicious’

Detectives are no longer treating the death of a woman on a Holyhead estate as suspicious.

The body of a 52 year-old woman was discovered at an apartment on Peibio Close at around 2pm on Thursday afternoon (20th December).

Foul play was initally suspected but a post mortem examination, carried out on Friday at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, found the woman died of natural causes.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist liaison officers.

A 63 year-old man questioned on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.

A file on the woman’s death will be prepared for the coroner of North West Wales, Dewi Pritchard Jones.
