Detectives are investigating a break-in at a caravan site near Llanfwrog.
Thieves broke into the shop at the Sandy Beach leisure park via the front door at some point between 1am and 6am on Saturday 18th August.
They stole a large amount of cash in a box and several tobacco products, then took CCTV recorders from the nearby bar in the same building.
PC Martin Jones at Holyhead police station described the burglary as a “shameless act of criminality”, which caused huge disruption at the campsite.
He said: “I am keen to receive any information from anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or activity in the area at the time of the break-in. This is a shameful act…which can have a detrimental effect on not only the business owners themselves but the community as a whole.”
Police have also reminded local businesses and residents to ensure their property is always locked, secured and kept out of sight – and to report any suspicious activity immediately.
Anyone with information should contact Holyhead police station or the North Wales Police control room on 101, quoting reference no. 18300086866. Alternatively, phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
